Accounting Controller

**Objectives of this Role**
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
- Coordinate our accounting team and local advisors onshore in order to elaborate monthly financial statements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
- Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.

**Daily and Monthly Responsibilities**
- Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- In conjunction with the CFO, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards monthly and annually.
- Oversee and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
- Elaboration of consolidated financial statements on a monthly and yearly end basis.
- Monthly elaboration of consolidated management accounts, based on financial statements and management KPIs.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field.
- 5+ years of proven accounting experience, preferable as a senior-level accounting or finance manager.
- Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (PGC, Spanish GAAP).
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
- Advanced English level, both oral and written.
- Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis.
- Strong skills in excel/google spreadsheets.

**Work conditions**:

- Salary: 25 - 30 k SBA.
- Contract: Open-ended (permanent) contract with 6 months of probation.
- Job type: Full-time
- Schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week (flexible schedule).
- Work modality: Hybrid
