**The Institute**

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.

In April 2021, the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) received the renewal of the 'HR Excellence in Research' Award from the European Commission. **The role**

As the Scientific Projects & AI Solutions Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the management of interdisciplinary scientific projects, with a focus on ensuring compliance with funding guidelines, organizing events, and implementing AI-driven solutions. This role involves close collaboration with senior project managers, grants officers, researchers, and department members to ensure efficient project execution and process optimization.
- Organize scientific events (both in-person and online) and manage related budgets, including expenses for training, travel, and allowances.
- Oversee project budgets and ensure compliance with European project rules and requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and assist with budget planning for projects.
- Actively search for national and international funding opportunities and maintain an up-to-date database of funding calls.
- Prepare and disseminate newsletters to inform researchers of funding opportunities and provide guidance on proposal requirements and eligibility.
- Provide support in the implementation of the ResearchConnect Database
- Meet with SaF coordinators to identify digital needs and implement AI-based solutions to enhance internal processes and workflows.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Strategy and Funding (SaF) department's data management plan.

**Whom** would we like to hire?**

**Professional experience**

**Must Have**
- Work experience in supporting scientific project management or administration in an international research or academic environment
- Proven experience in organizing scientific events and managing project budgets, preferably within European or international project
- Familiarity with funding calls and processes, including proposal preparation and compliance with funder guidelines
- Experience in preparing financial and administrative reports for funding bodies

**Education and training**
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, project management, data science, or related fields
- Additional training in scientific project management and grant writing, AI, and/or digital tools will be valued

**Languages**
- You are proficient in English
- Knowledge of Spanish and/or Catalan is desirable

**Technical skills**
- Strong organizational and budget management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with project management software (e.g., Trello, Asana, or similar tools)
- Basic understanding of AI tools and data management practices
- Technical writing skills for documentation and reporting purposes

**Competences**
- Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail in budget management and project reporting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in optimizing workflows and processes
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to emerging trends
