Department
You will be in the Surety department, which is responsible for underwriting financial and technical risks, ensuring the fulfillment of contractual and legal obligations of its clients. This department analyzes and evaluates the operations proposed by clients, issues surety bonds, and coordinates with other departments to establish appropriate surety lines.
**Job Description**:
Your position will be Junior Surety Underwriter, where you will underwrite risks from a financial and technical perspective for operations received in the Surety Unit of Spain and Portugal, in accordance with applicable regulations.
**In this position, your main functions will be**:
Underwriting financial risks and coordinating with Risks for the establishment of surety lines
**Technical Underwriting**:
Technical analysis of the operations proposed by clients and decision-making
Issuance of policies and review of documentation for their activation
Drafting reports for authorization requests
Supporting the department in other administrative tasks when required
Customer/mediator service
Knowing, applying, and complying with the different Guidelines and regulations of the Surety Unit and the information security policies and requirements in the tasks of your position
What do you need?
Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or similar.
**Languages**: English (minimum B2, will be evaluated)
**Skills**:
Negotiation skills
Customer orientation
MS Office (high level)
Financial statement analysis (high level)
**It will be valued**:
Having experience in the insurance sector and/or in similar functions.
Knowledge of other languages, such as Portuguese, will be positively valued.
Knowledge of sector regulations.
