JOB SUMMARY

With a significant collective presence in EMEA we have a wide breadth of associate representative forums, including 10 Works Councils across EMEA having consultation and co-determination (Germany) requirements when implementing business change, acquisitions, and divestitures and a European Works Council (EWC).This critical role will drive meaningful and coordinated engagement with the Works Councils across EMEA, HR Business Partners and HR Regional Partners in country, consistent with enterprise-wide change implementation. This role requires a skilled stakeholder relationship manager who proactively engage with key project teams to help them, and the HR Business and Regional partners navigate Works Council requirements. The role will also engage directly with Works Council members to build more personal, one-to-one relationships that create the foundation for more effective collaboration. As we have experienced more frequent change over the last 2 years, the EMEA region requires a more focused, closer, collaborative partnership with Works Councils. This role will also be responsible for deploying and implementing the Global DE&I strategy within EMEA.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Builds and develops trust and creates more collaborative relationships with HRBPs, HRRPs who manage the Works Council relationships in each country.
- Leads the HRBPs and HRRPs in preparing Works Council consultation documents. Owns the development and implementation of strategies for how HRBPs and HRRPs engage, partner and consult with all EMEA Works Councils.
- Drives consistency and compliance with local legislation or workers agreements, collating the required information for robust consultation.
- Manages the Works Council in appropriate countries, attends and participates in necessary meetings to build a strong working relationship, ensuring Works Council members participate in line with their statutory responsibilities.
- Develops and improves HR and Business Leadership competency on Works Council engagement with co-determination and approval requirements for Works Council countries.
- Supports and guides re-organisations and restructuring activities for Works Council countries (including providing expertise for HRBPs and Business Leaders as to arm them with the knowledge of associated representative consultation requirements relating to mergers, acquisitions, divestments, outsourcing, role -elimination or redundancies).
- Owns the development of the Annual Report for the EWC and manages the day-to-day relationship with the EWC.
- Ensures Works Council and EWC members are adequately informed and, if necessary, trained on the responsibilities and competencies of their role
- As necessary, mediates between the Works Councils across EMEA in conjunction with the HRBPs and local HRRPs.
- Partners closely with our Legal Team and our Global HR Team and has the potential to provide Lead ER guidance for the EMEA Region on everything from adapting policies and employee relation actions.
- Proactively engages with the Works Councils, as a strategic and trusted adviser, building how the Works Councils can work together more efficiently.
- Leads upfront and transparent discussions to improve collaboration and involvement
- Builds the right foundation for change and ensures our relationship with our Works Council to become more collaborative. Supports the VP, Regional Lead EMEA to deliver projects across region by:

- agreeing and planning what work needs to be done and establishing a timeline and who is accountable to deliver the work
