**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
They will present their work in internal group meetings and in internal seminars at the IGTP.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE**:
Required experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Bioinformatics, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or related.
- Master’s degree or enrolled in a Master’s and expected to finish by June-July 2025.
- Basic knowledge of genomic and/or epigenomic data analysis, including processing of NGS data.
- Experience using R for data analysis and visualization.
- You want to learn new things, experiment and be creative.
- Not hired as PhD student for more than six months in total.
- Being able to work in a team. Taking responsibility of your own tasks and projects but able to work hand in hand with other members of the group.
This will also be valued but it is not required:
- Experience using Linux and computational clusters (HPC).
- Experience with whole genome sequencing, nanopore and/or single-cell data.
- Experience with workflow management systems (nextflow, snakemake ).
- Fluent in Catalan and/or Spanish.

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.
The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus, working in close collaboration with the other centres.
