**Purpose of the Role**:
Join us at the forefront of AI integration in cybersecurity We're seeking a Senior ML Engineer to enhance our platform with cutting-edge AI capabilities. In this role, you'll drive the development of server-side logic and infrastructure to elevate our threat modeling experience. Collaborating closely with AI engineers, you'll pioneer new product features, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Design, develop, and deliver backend solutions for AI integration within the IriusRisk Threat Modeling platform.
- Collaborate with AI engineers to deploy innovative product enhancements.
- Contribute to technical roadmap and architectural decisions for backend development.

**Requirements**:
**Essential skills and experience**:
- A strong and pragmatic product focus that means you get working solutions into the hands of users quickly and iteratively.
- Experience developing a product from design to delivery, with time-to-market and user experience is a priority.
- Strong opinions on what a good engineering culture looks like, and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Solid experience developing with Python, FastAPI, and similar technologies.
- Experience with API-first development and the HATEOAS architecture for REST API development.
- Strong background in scalable and distributed architectures such as microservices, containers etc.
- Experience building services in AWS, using native AWS services, and developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
**Nice to have**:
- Exposure to AI, LLM, machine learning, and NLP libraries (e.g., LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy).
- Previous use of Amazon Web Services tools around AI/ML (Bedrock, SageMaker,).
- Experience working directly with data scientists and AI engineers.
- Experience with cybersecurity or threat modeling is a significant plus.
- Experience with leading a team of software engineers.
