Intermediate Environmental Engineer

GEMTEC is looking for experienced professionals to join our environmental team, and to play an integral role in our continued growth and development. GEMTEC has continued to see sustained growth in our environmental services group; and as a result, we have an immediate opening for full-time Intermediate Environmental Engineer/Geoscientist operating out of our Fredericton, NB office.

GEMTEC is an employee-owned and operated engineering consulting company with offices and laboratories throughout Ontario and Atlantic Canada. We provide professional scientific and engineering consulting services to a wide variety of clients throughout Canada. The opportunity involves working as part of a team of environmental engineers, scientists, and technologists on a variety of projects for a range of public and private sector clients. **Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or geoscience from an accredited institution.
- Registered Professional (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo.), with significant experience in contaminated sites work.
- Ability to lead and develop a team of junior to intermediate professionals.
- Ability to present technical information, both written and verbally, in a concise and professional manner.

**Main Duties**:

- Provide leadership and technical coaching for the more junior team members.
- Help to grow our environmental service line by identifying markets/potential clients, developing business, preparing responses to Requests for Proposals/Standing Offers and preparing routine proposals.
- Client Management.
- Project Management including development and maintenance of project scopes, schedules and budgets and coordination of project staff.
- Senior review of technical documents as Approving Professional Engineer/Professional Geoscientist.
- Interpretation of environmental regulations and investigation results to successfully meet the client’s requirements
- Prepare reports as necessary to meet client needs

**Position**:

- Full time
