**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**
BAT Iberia is currently looking for an Legal Intern as part of our Legal department based in our offices in Madrid. As a member of the Legal department you will be involved in the day to day legal issues and decisions of the company. You will help to ensure that the company acts lawfully given the strict local legislation, particularly, focused on the company´s compliance programs, in aspects such as competition, marketing, internal policy compliance, trademarks and regulatory issues
**Reports to**:Legal Counsel jr.
**Geographic Scope**:Iberia Market
**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- Help to secure the implementation of compliance, marketing, commercial and corporate programs.
- Collaboration in regulatory matters with different national and international administrations.
- Provide professional legal services in line with the company's commercial and digital strategy.
- Provide accurate legal advice in all matters in accordance with the market’s needs.
- Actively contribute and report to all aspects of transaction, business, strategy, governance and compliance of the company.
- Provide proactive and solution-oriented legal advice and guidance to colleagues in regional business sectors and corporate functions.
- Comply and implement activities in accordance with the rules of laws and regulations relating to environmental protection, safety at work and fire protection, and internal EHS standards and procedures BAT group
**CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?**
- You have a Degree in Law?
- Are you are a proficient user of English and Spanish?
- You are and advanced user of MS Office, especially Excel and Power-Point.
**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Degree in Law.
- Master’s Degree in Legal or similar desirable.
- 1 or 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Initiative and problem-solving skills;
- Attention to details;
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of LEX documents and other information;
- A commitment to the aims and values of BAT;
- Proficiency in MS Office;
