We are looking for a technician to join our animal experimentation team at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute. You will
work using small and large animal models by performing surgery, diagnosis, and treatment related to injuries and
disorders of the musculoskeletal and osteoarticular system**_ _**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required: **

Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences

Specific/Additional training in preclinical studies using small and large animal models

Ability to work independently

Certification of research personnel who use animals for experimentation and other scientific purposes.

Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)
**Desired: **

Ability to carry out scientific research and publish in specialized journals.

Knowledge of bioengineering and cell therapy for the treatment of osteoarticular pathologies.

Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)

**Experience and knowledge**:
**Required: **

At least 3 years of experience working in preclinical studies using animal models of osteoarticular pathologies.

Knowledge of advanced surgical techniques in the field of orthopedics.

Perform orthopedic surgeries safely and effectively.

Evaluate musculoskeletal and osteoarticular disorders and injuries in animals.

Develop personalized treatment plans for each animal.

Collaborate with other health professionals in the multidisciplinary care of animals

Ability to participate in medical research in the field of orthopedics.

Publish scientific articles in specialized magazines

**Main responsibilities and duties: **

Prepare/Organize preclinical studies using small and large animal models

Perform orthopedic surgeries in animal models

**Labour conditions: **

Part-time position: 5h/week.

Starting date: immediate.

Gross annual salary: 2.955,08
