Aiming to create best-in-class experiences that last forever in players' memories, a team of Game Industry veterans is building a new AAA Open World game studio in Barcelona, backed by a quality-first market-leading publisher and developer. We're helping them identify and attract a Technical Art Director to lead a world-class Technical Art Team on an entirely new AAA open world project.

In this role you will work closely with the other Development Team Leaders to develop and drive the artistic vision for this AAA project and take responsibility for an exceptional team, as well as being a key member of the project leadership group.

As the Technical Art Director, you are the bridge between artists and engineers and in doing so you maintain a close relationship with many disciplines to drive both existing and future tech and tools. At the same time, you are responsible for maintaining and improving pipelines and workflows for the art teams to work effectively, efficiently and comfortably.

To be considered, we'd love to see:

- A deep understanding of modern content creation tools and workflows: modeling, texturing, shading, rigging, animation, and lighting.
- Strong knowledge of Unity, Unreal or similar.
- Experience shipping AAA games across multiple platforms.
- Strong technical expertise across several categories of technical art.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Expertise scripting within DCC apps or game engines.
- A passion for making games.

In return, you can expect to enjoy a salary up to 120,000 Euro plus the following benefits:

- Ticket Restaurant: approx. 180 € per month (2.160€/year).
