Actuarial Senior Analyst

This role sits within the Cigna European Actuarial team, which is part of Cigna Corporation, a global health services organisation with over 95 million customers worldwide. The team is involved in a diverse range of Actuarial work including Reserving, Pricing and Statutory Reporting. This role will report directly to the Glasgow based Actuarial Manager.
The primary objective of this role is to support the development and implementation of all Actuarial models, reporting and documentation required for Reserving, Statutory and USGAAP Reporting, Experience Studies and other Actuarial Analysis, with the addition of supporting compliance with extra reporting requirements due to Brexit, IFRS and LDTI regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assess the adequacy of the reserve balances, recommend changes and communicate results to senior management
Review and assist in the development and streamlining of the Solvency II end to end QRT reporting process
Assist with embedding Brexit QRT reporting into business as usual reporting
Assist in the development of LDTI and IFRS reporting
Assist with month/quarter/annual regular reporting and audit
Provide actuarial assistance on internal projects and initiatives as required
**Qualifications**:
Part qualified, whether continuing with the actuarial exams or not.
Technical Competencies
Relevant health non-life experience an advantage
Proficient in Excel, Access and with some coding experience
Experience in VBA, Prophet, R and/or ResQ an advantage
Proven track record of process automation
Desire to constantly seek improvements to systems and processes
Proven problem solving and decision making ability
Non-Technical Competencies
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Ability to work independently using own initiative and be a good team player
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within the team to tight deadlines
