Sentient Energy equips the Smart Grid to detect, predict and deliver a more reliable and sustainable system. Our monitoring systems give utilities unique and detailed insight into operating status and fault conditions along the entire distribution grid downstream from the substation. Deployed with Public or Private LTE technology, with utility Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Distribution Automation (DA) communications networks, our products leverage the foundational capital investment into the Smart Grid, making it more valuable and increasing Smart Grid investment returns.

We are looking for a **Technical Solution Engineer** to join our team in our offices in Vimercate (Italy) peferred or any of the European KES offices.

**What You Will Do In Your Role**:

- Assist Business Director, Value Added Resellers and Partners with pre-sales activities, as the technical SME
- Identify the technical needs of our targeted customers, support and engage in discovery calls and propose solutions as appropriate
- Coordinate with Value Added Resellers and Partners to support customer needs for proposals / presentations and participate in bid meetings and walk-through meetings with the customer as necessary
- Coordinate with Business Directors, Value Added Resellers and Partners to support customer relationship building and establish a trusted advisor model for customer success
- Lead & Support top level solution architectures conversations and guide customers on desirable solutions to meet the customer business needs
- Strategically position Sentient Energy’s value proposition with ROI models that support Customer Use Cases for Grid Modernization objectives
- Strong interface with the marketing / commercialization / product organization to develop high-value solutions and assist with creating specific NPI requirements which leverages / expands Sentient Energy’s solution portfolio
- Work with Product Management to provide inputs on technical requirements based on customer conversations
- Coordinate and Prioritize opportunities with Business Director, Value Added Resellers and Partners to consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
- Work with Business Director, Value Added Resellers and Partners to help coordinate pre-sales considerations and architecture solutions which support Customer business objectives.
- Establish a trusted advisor relationship with Partners and Customer (s) to drive product solution adoption and continued value of products and services

**The Experience You Will Bring**:
**Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Science or work experience equivalent in technical field, computer science, or a closely related field or equivalent experience.
- Previous European experience with a major Electric Distribution Utility in a technical sales capability with solid and proven relationship network in the industry
- Fluent in English is mandatory and Spanish/Italian are a big plus.
- High sense of urgency and a “hunter” mentality
- Experience in hunting and winning new customer
- Energetic, curious, resourceful, highly creative and self‐motivated.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to work effectively within a matrix organization and be a trusted advisor to utility customers
- Excellent autonomous problem-solving ability.
- Able to continuously exhibit the highest levels of professional discretion as a representative of Sentient Energy in all customer relationships.
- Direct experience supporting sales activities and account management including customer communications.
- Proven understanding of all engineering discipline requirements for power systems in general.
- Travel: a minimum of 30% in Europe and to world-wide corporate location in North America.
