**About the Role**

As **Post-doc in Energy Demand Management, **you will join the Research and Innovation team. As a technological startup, innovation is in our DNA and we work closely with our clients and providers to design, test and implement new products that accelerate our mission. You will discuss with the CTO our product roadmap and innovation strategy and you’ll be working closely with our developers to build and deploy innovative solutions. Our current roadmap includes new developments in Local Energy Communities and C&I Energy Management Systems. Moreover, Bamboo Energy is active in European Innovation Action projects and you will join international high-level research and innovation consortiums.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Coordinate with the CTO to design the innovation roadmap for our current and new products.
- Design new products specifically on Demand Flexibility Aggregation and Local Energy Communities based on our pillars: artificial intelligence and optimal management applied to the energy demand side.
- Lead a team of junior R&D engineers.
- Lead and participate in European and National competitive projects. Coordinate tasks and partners to deliver expected results and deliverables.
- Participate in the proposal preparation process for European and National competitive projects.
- Participate in international conferences, workshops, and working groups on energy demand flexibility management and related aspects.
- Coordinate with the Head of Technology, the Product Owner, and the Senior Data Scientist to develop and implement Bamboo product roadmap.
- Collaborate with groups company-wide (e.g. business development, customer success) on new offerings and products to answer customer needs.

**Minimum requirements**:

- Ph.D. on Energy Optimal Management or related field.
- Degree on Energy Engineering with experience on Data Science and Optimization or Degree on Maths or Data Science with experience on Energy Engineering.
- More than 3 years of experience in the Energy Management field.
- Experience on European project participation, task or work package leadership, and proposal preparation.
- Knowledge and experience on optimization and data analysis for energy systems.
- Knowledge and experience on energy markets.
- Knowledge of digital sectors and/or SaaS models.
- Languages: English (Proficiency) mandatory. Spanish is valuable.

**Nice-to-have requirements**:

- Knowledge and experience in optimal energy management with Python.
- Knowledge and experience in Local Energy Communities.
- Knowledge and experience in energy regulation.
- Experience in SaaS solutions for energy or equivalent sector.
