**What you'll be doing**:

- Tax Strategy & Compliance:
- Lead global tax compliance, with a focus on the US and EU markets
- Ensure adherence to local and international tax laws, with a keen eye on regulatory changes.
- Develop and implement a robust tax strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Risk Management:
- Evaluate and address tax risks arising from new regulations, ensuring a proactive approach to compliance while optimizing for business impact
- Partner with legal and external advisors to manage audits, disputes, and other tax-related challenges.
- Business advisory:
- Act as a key advisor to the leadership team, communicating complex tax issues with clarity.
- Manage relationships with external advisors and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of tax policies.
- Drive alignment between finance, legal, and operations on all tax-related matters.
- Execution & Team Leadership:
- Own end-to-end implementation of tax recommendations, from planning to swift execution.
- Oversee and grow a tax function focused on compliance.

**What you need to succeed**:

- Track record:
- 8+ years in tax management, with a proven track record in the US and EU markets with strong understanding of overall global tax compliance.
- Experience in fast-growing marketplace businesses, ideally b2c focused, and US-based with global operations.
- Global Marketplace Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of US and international tax regulations, including cross-border transactions.
- Expertise with transfer pricing, tax planning, and reporting in a global context.
- Communication Skills:
- Exceptional ability to simplify complex tax issues for internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills to navigate challenging conversations with external advisors and regulators.
- Leadership:
- Track record of owning end to end tax strategy and implementation
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally, lead teams, and build scalable processes in high-pressure environments.
