**Our Mission**

At DraftyAI, we're on a mission to revolutionize the legal landscape by leveraging artificial intelligence to accelerate document drafting for licensed attorneys, enabling them to better serve their clients and elevate their law practice.

**The Role**

As a full stack software engineer at DraftyAI, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our mission. We're seeking a highly creative and self-driven engineer to join our team as one of our first hires. As the senior full stack engineer, you will be responsible for owning the front-end development of our platform, while also contributing to other parts of the product as needed. You will work collaboratively with our founding team, contributing to decisions about the business and product. As we scale, this position has the potential to transition to a leadership role that aligns with your strengths and career goals.

**Responsibilities**

You will be responsible for the following:

- Creating clean and modern UIs that provide an excellent user experience.
- Mentoring junior engineers and promoting engineering excellence through process improvement, documentation, onboarding, and interviewing practices.
- Collaborating with the founding team to develop and implement product strategies and business decisions.
- Contributing to other areas of the product, such as the backend or infrastructure, as needed.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of full-time experience, preferably in a startup environment.
- Strong generalist engineering skills with a willingness to learn and focus on the front-end.
- Played a large role in building and shipping a product from scratch.
- Takes initiative with self-teaching, works well on teams, is a great communicator, comfortable with giving and taking constructive feedback, and has excellent English skills.
- Experience with relational database systems, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Python.

**Nice to Haves**

Experience with AWS Lambda is a plus.
