**The role**

**R&D Information Technology (IT)** is the stream in Nestlé IT in charge of powering the **R&D function** with IT capabilities to drive company growth through breakthrough research that can be translated quickly into products and services.
Digital technologies are triggering a crucial, comprehensive transformation of R&D organizations, and Nestlé is no exception. It is not only about adopting digital tools, but is a fundamental shift in the operating model for R&D. For this reason, Nestlé R&D has developed a strategy to leverage digital to accelerate time to value, protect the core and unlock new opportunities, for example, by leveraging consumer insights to drive innovation and renovation. Nestlé R&D operates in 23 locations, which use a combination of above-market (global), market and site-specific IT capabilities. A key pillar of Nestlé R&D’s digital strategy is Data Foundations and Analytics.
As an **R&D Data Sr Project Manager**, you will lead projects related to Data Foundations and Analytics for R&D, based on approved business cases. Reporting to the R&D Data Transformation IT Lead, you will work with many stakeholders in IT and R&D to drive those projects forward: the IT Program Manager for R&D Data Transformation, your counterpart project manager(s) in R&D, and product groups across IT, in your stream (R&D IT) and in others, particularly Analytics, Data & Integration (ADI), Master Data, Technical & Production and IT Platforms.

**What you’ll do**
- Define and ensure strong project governance, adhering to the R&D Data Transformation Program governance, including the project charter to align on scope, timeline, quality, budget and acceptance criteria with stakeholders.
- Manage roles and responsibilities and establish the governance and communication plan, ensuring adequate communication to identified stakeholders.
- Identify internal and external resource needs and manage assigned resources.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of cross-functional project teams and ensure adherence to the project plan.
- Manage the stakeholder engagement through development and maintenance of strong working relationships with all key stakeholders, especially R&D stakeholders and IT Product Managers.
- Ensure the quality of Project Manager deliverables through Project Management best practices.
- Identify risks and propose mitigating actions, raising and resolving project issues.
- Follow-up the Key Performance Indicators for each project you manage and consolidate Program level reporting. Produce timely, detailed summaries and high-level reports as needed.
- Manage Project changes effectively: Change requests, budget adjustments, timelines, and project scope to accommodate approved changes.
- Track benefit realization based on the business case(s) behind the project(s) you manage.

**Minimum qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably computer science or field related to IT.
- Demonstrated experience in IT project management, ideally in a product-based IT organization.
- Thought leadership in IT to discuss technology roadmaps with R&D stakeholders, and the ability to “tell the story”
- Experience with standard Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) and Microsoft Project. Ideally, also with Atlassian Project Management Tools (Jira, Confluence etc.).
- Understanding of software development methodologies, preferably within Agile, e.g., Scrum.
- Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and conflict resolution in a cross-functional, international, hybrid environment.
