Rabobank Madrid works very closely with the Rabobank international network (global product units, sector experts, research teams, senior management) located in our headquarters in Utrecht, in our other 10 Branches in Europe, and all around the world. We are recruiting for a CORPORATE BANKING ASSOCIATE to work for RABOBANK MADRID in the front office team. **CONTEXT OF THE JOB** The primary role of the Rabobank’s Wholesale Banking division globally is to ensure global excellence in the commercial coverage and relationship management of the international Food & Agri and Energy Transition wholesale client base. In addition, it holds ownership and responsibility for the delivery of Corporate & Investment Banking Products (Credit & Loans, Asset based Finance, Capital Structuring, Risk Management, Leverage Lending, Working Capital Financing, Equity & Capital Market, M&A, etc). The ultimate objective is to increase income and profitability with wholesale clients and prospects and expand the local client base in line with the required return hurdles. The Wholesale division operates in an international and dynamic environment in which pro-activity, flexibility, and discipline is required across all areas of relationship management and product cross sell, from prospecting to client management, to origination, pitching, structuring and execution to follow-up and monitoring. The function interacts with a wide variety of internal stakeholders including Senior Management, Global Sector Heads, product heads and teams, local and global Risk Officers and analysts. **JOB OVERVIEW** We are searching for an Associate, based in Madrid. The main tasks and responsibilities of the Associate are to provide support to Senior Coverage Bankers of Rabobank Madrid in all aspects of their role as client owners, on a relatively independent basis. The Associate will provide support to the entire deal process and client relationship, providing input for the origination, structuring and executing of transactions. More specifically the Associate will be (pro)actively involved in preparing for client meetings, developing pitch books, transaction structuring, obtaining credit and other approvals, deal execution, portfolio monitoring and maintaining Rabobank internal CRM systems. Focus is on transactions in the mid market with financings typically ranging from EUR 50 mln upwards. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES** - Provide analytical, tactical, and administrative support to the Senior Relationship Bankers and Credit Analysts as part of the general management of a portfolio of clients and prospective clients. - Support the team to provide excellent service to clients and address their needs and requests. - Support the team in further developing a diverse portfolio of corporate clients in the Food & Agri and Energy Transition sectors. - Analysis and support of origination ideas, opportunity development, pitch book production, join client meetings and provide follow-up support and pro-active solutions to customers’ needs. - Support term sheet preparation and negotiations, Financial analysis, scenario analysis, deal structuring, due diligence coordination. - Take care of and/or organises operational activities and cooperation with other departments concerning the execution of transactions: internal approval generation, loan document negotiation, signing, closing & posts closing coordination, syndication support and deal team management. - Contribute to portfolio management, monitoring of credit reviews and waiver requests, information processing. - Support relationship planning, prospecting, pipeline management, credit risk data
