**The role**

In this exciting role, you will be managing the development of large capital Generation projects. From initial development (Gate 1) through to project identification as viable economic options (Gate 3), you will work with multi-disciplinary teams to select the best projects. More specifically, your role will include setting these projects up to be delivered effectively and efficiently, which contributes to the growth of the SSE Renewables in Southern Europe.

Safety and sustainability are key priorities for all our endeavours—ensuring projects meet safety standards and sustainability targets are crucial. You'll support project delivery by preparing pivotal documentation with recommendations at governance milestones. Pivotal to success will be reporting accuracy, proactive stakeholder engagement, and enhancing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**You will**
- Work closely with the Country Manager and Spanish Directors in preparing papers with clear recommendations at relevant milestones.
- Manage project resources efficiently to meet business portfolio needs, including internal services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholder teams for consistency and visibility.
- Coordinate with the business development team and delivery team for smooth project transitions through various stages.
- Ensure safety and sustainability are priorities in all projects, promoting a positive culture.

**You have**

To excel in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

- Graduated in Engineering or similar with a recognized project management qualification.
- Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams in utilities, oil & gas, or energy sectors.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, with other languages being a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of safety legislation, planning requirements, and commercial drivers.
- Competence in managing risks and priorities within large infrastructure projects.
