Explore Group have partnered up with a trusted global consultancy who are looking for an experience Data Engineer to join them on a project working with their end client who is an established insurance company.
**Role Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
Collaborate with the team to understand platform capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.
Provide support to internal Investment Management clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
Foster excellence in the processes, methodologies, standards, and technology choices embraced by the team.
Adapt swiftly to new concepts and emerging trends in the rapidly evolving data engineering technology landscape.
Dedicate time to continuous learning, keeping the team informed about the latest developments in the field.
**Requirements**:
A minimum of 3 years of Data Engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on designing and building Databricks data pipelines. Experience with Azure cloud is highly preferred, though AWS, GCP, or other cloud platform experience will also be considered.
Knowledge of conceptual, logical, and/or physical database designs is a valuable asset.
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Python, Pyspark, SparkSQL, and/or Scala.
At least 2 years of experience with Big Data pipelines or DAG Tools, such as Data Factory, Airflow, dbt, or similar tools.
A minimum of 2 years of Spark experience, with a preference for Databricks Spark and Delta Lake expertise.
Practical experience in implementing Big Data solutions within a cloud ecosystem, including Data/Delta Lakes.
Experience with financial data providers, especially in an asset management firm or other financial service company, is highly desirable.
Proficiency in English is a requirement.
