Role: Senior Data Engineer (Fabric migration project) Location: Remote (EU) Duration: 6-12 months (view to extend) We are supporting a major Databricks to Microsoft Fabric migration for a leading global retail brand in the UK. We’re looking for experienced Data Engineers and Data Architects to join this high-impact transformation programme, working with modern data platforms and analytics at scale. Skills & Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to support large-scale data migration and integration. Lead and contribute to the migration from Databricks to Microsoft Fabric, ensuring seamless data flow, integrity, and performance. Build and maintain data models, data warehouses, and analytics solutions to enable business insights. Develop scalable, efficient, and reusable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Spark. Collaborate closely with Data Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Implement data quality frameworks, monitoring, and governance to ensure accurate and reliable data. Contribute to automation, optimisation, and performance tuning of data processes. Mentor junior team members and share best practices in data engineering, cloud architecture, and modern analytics platforms.
