Senior Financial Accountant

**Senior Financial Accountant - Your future position?**
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data in the systems to enable timely reporting according to regulations and company requirements. Act as Finance counterpart for OPS and other depts.

In this role, you will report Finance Manager and will be based in Sant Celoni, Barcelona.

**Your main responsibilities include**:
General Accounting
- Assist Finance Manager with Internal/External reporting and adherence to IFRS principles.
- Prepare draft reports for fiscal reporting (statutory accounts and Corporation tax computation) for review
- by the Finance Manager and external auditors. This includes all periodic tax planning and reporting
- Serve as a point of contact for External & Internal Audit as well as the GBS teams
- Manage the full periodic /annual VAT cycles, deadlines, payments, and mandatory filings
- Support in the annual budget process, and activity reporting.

Accounts Reconciliations & closing activities
- Review balance sheet accounts reconciliation & work closely with AR, AP & FICO streams
- Identify problem areas in processes and work with the relevant teams to generate a solution
- Manage accruals positions - pensions accounting, recurring entries, and special adjustments
- Conduct year-end statutory closing and finalization of financial statements with the company's auditors

Internal controls over financial accounting and reporting (ICON)
- Perform regular cross-functional review of ICON controls

**Your professional profile includes**:

- Qualified Financial Accountant with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledgeable in Legislative /regulatory changes and ability to work with legal counsel
- Analytical and Highly computer literate with the ability to work with SAP, Excel
- Fluent in Spanish & English
