We are currently looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team in Barcelona. Your mission will be to manage day-to-day accounting and financial functions. This includes financial closing (monthly and year-end), meeting all financial reporting deadlines, developing and implementing an effective system of accounting and internal controls; maintaining accurate and current records; liaison with external partners (tax advisors, auditors, ).
**In more detail, as a General Ledger Accountant you will be responsible for...**
- Maintain financial reports, records and general ledgers.
- Actively participate to monthly closing process
- Review and conciliation of general ledger accounts.
- In charge of monthly and yearly CIT provision and tax compliance matters (with the support of external tax advisors)
- Participate in the drafting of annual financial statements of the company
- Prepare monthly cash flows and variances analysis
- Assist in coordination of accounting, finance and budget related matters
- Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting
- Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP (Group criteria and local GAAP)
- Work closely with all departments on key financial matters
- Liaison with IT department for improvement of automatic processes and system set-up
- Manage relationship with external partners, like tax advisors, payroll consultants and auditors
**You are the person we are looking for if you...**
- Have 4-5 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting
- Have an Accounting/Finance background
- Have a fluent/advanced level of English or French or both (written and spoken)
- Are proficient with Microsoft Office. SAP experience is preferred
- Have strong analytical skills
- Are a team player
- Love working with different cultures and teams abroad
