**What We’re Looking For**
- A minimum of 3 years’ Experience in a Japanese or Sushi Restaurant is preferred, particularly in a High-Energy, Fine-Dining culinary setting.
- Mastery of Sushi Preparation and Fish Handling, with Exceptional Knife Skills and a Confident Command of Traditional Techniques.
- In-Depth Understanding of Japanese Ingredients, Condiments and Culinary Principles, with a Passion for Authenticity and Detail.
- Confident Handling Kitchen Tools and Equipment, with a clear Understanding of Basic Preparation Techniques and Hygiene Protocols.
- Meticulous Attention to Detail, ensuring Every Plate is Prepared and Presented with Precision, Consistency and Style.
- Strong Time Management and Multi-Tasking Abilities, with the ability to Thrive in a Fast-Paced, High-Pressure Environment while Maintaining Quality.
- Energetic and Physically Resilient, with the Stamina to Support Daily Culinary Operations and active Service Periods.
- Flexible Availability, including Evenings, Weekends and Public Holidays, in line with the Rhythms of Destino Five Ibiza.
- Positive Attitude and a Collaborative Spirit, ready to Learn, take Direction and Grow within a Culinary Team that Values Passion and Performance.
- Impeccable communication skills, both Verbal and Written, with Fluency in English and Spanish. Additional languages are a Definite Plus.
- Must hold the Legal Right to work in Europe, including any Required Visas or Work Permits, in full compliance with Local Regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepares a wide range of Sushi Specialities, including Maki Rolls, Nigiri, Sashimi and Chef’s Signature Creations, combining Tradition with Creative Expression.
- Upholds Impeccable Standards of Plating and Presentation, Showcasing a Refined Balance of Japanese Aesthetics and Visual Storytelling.
- Monitors Fish and Ingredient Quality Daily, ensuring Freshness, Proper Storage and Full Alignment with Health and Safety Guidelines.
- Maintains an Organised, Hygienic Sushi Station, consistently adhering to HACCP Protocols and Destino Five Ibiza’s Operational Standards.
- Collaborates with the Head Sushi Chef on New Dish Development and Interprets Guest Feedback to Elevate Menu Offerings.
- Mentors and Guides Junior Sushi Chefs, promoting Consistency, Skill Development and Culinary Discipline across the section.
- Oversees Preperation Levels and Supports Stock Rotation, ensuring Inventory is Tracked, Ingredients are Labelled correctly, and Waste is Minimised.
