Our client, a leading consulting firm in the IT sector, is looking to strengthen its internal audit department with the figure of an:
**GROUP INTERNAL AUDITOR (Senior with 2-3 years’ experience)**

**JOB PURPOSE***:
The Internal Audit Department (IA) directly reports to the Group CFO & the Supervisory Board and conducts audit diligence across the Group entities.

This Department is also involved in the Group Strategy by supporting the M&A Team, especially with regards to the external growth operations. The IA provides technical input to the due-diligence and post-acquisition (financial due diligences, earnout calculation, put/call option valorization, etc..).

The IA Department is therefore looking for an agile analyst to strengthen the team, able to deal with accounting and financial issues.

**FUNCTIONS**:

- Preparation of the annual audit plan and presentation to the audit committee.
- Performing the year audit missions:

- Participation in meetings with local management to discuss last year’s findings and the current year’s situation.
- Perform a few samples testing to detect potential fraud / discrepancies.
- Perform analytical reviews to understand the non-recurring items.
- Preparation of the internal audit reports.
- Make recommendations for the best ways for the company to avoid fraud.
- Present summarized findings concerning audit results and trends for corporate management.
- Additional corporate finance diligence.

**TRANSACTION SERVICES**:

- Participation in several audits and technical analyses: acquisitions, earn-outs, carve-outs, and disposals.
- Opening balance review (PMI Process).
- Participation in financial due-diligence, coordination with the M&A Team, preparation of due-diligence notes / reports, presentation of the conclusions & findings to the top Management.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
You are a graduate from a business school or have a master’s degree in finance/ audit.

You have 2 to 3 years of professional experience, at least 2 of them within an audit firm / Transaction Services

Very strong skills in accounting and finance.

Hands-on professional, you are organized, rigorous and you have strong interpersonal skills (proactivity, initiative, deadline driven, hardworking).

Your English is very fluent, a multilingual profile is highly valued, you have a strong capacity for communication, analysis, and synthesis.

Understanding French is a plus.

Strong adaptability and teamwork.

IFRS knowledge is a plus.

A very good knowledge of Excel is essential.

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**:
The job is based in Madrid (with regular travels to Paris if based in Madrid).

Travel towards our European entities is required (20%).

Full-time position, permanent contract.
