**Context And Mission**
- The Human Resources (HR) team at BSC is seeking a Senior HR Officer (Payroll Coordinator) to lead and coordinate payroll processes while ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal regulations. Reporting to the HR & Labour Relations Coordinator, this role will involve managing the monthly payroll in collaboration with the external payroll service provider, supervising the HR Officers responsible for personnel administration, and supporting the development and implementation of HR policies.

**Key Duties**
- Payroll Coordination:

- Oversee the monthly payroll process in collaboration with the external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Validate payroll calculations and ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Address payroll-related queries from employees and provide resolutions in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of HR Officers within the personnel administration team.
- Ensure the team adheres to deadlines and meets operational goals efficiently.
- Personnel Administration:

- Monitor the preparation of employment contracts, contract renewals, and terminations, ensuring legal and procedural compliance.
- Oversee the accurate input and management of HR data in the ERP system.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of personnel administration KPIs.
- HR Advisory: Act as a primary advisor to Group Leaders and Managers on HR policies, processes, and compliance matters. Provide guidance on compensation, benefits, and other HR-related issues.
- Policy and Process Improvement: Support the HR & Labour Relations Coordinator in designing and implementing HR policies related to payroll and personnel administration. Identify opportunities for process improvements and ensure best practices are implemented within the team.
- Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards in payroll and personnel administration.
- Prepare regular reports and analyses related to payroll and personnel costs to support budgetary planning and decision-making.

**Requirements**:

- Education
- University Degree in Labour Relations, Law, Work Sciences, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources or a postgraduate qualification in HR is highly valued.
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll coordination or a similar role, preferably in an international and multi-cultural environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, employment laws, and compliance standards
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication (Spanish, Catalan and English).
- Experience in HR within research or academic institutions.
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and payroll software.
- Competences
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with a structured approach to managing tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment
- Proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
