The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is one of the highest ranked scientific research organizations in the world. The newest EMBL site is located in the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB), one of the largest infrastructures in Southern Europe dedicated to translational research.
The main focus of the EMBL Barcelona site is in tissue biology and disease modeling. This particular position is for a PostDoc researcher to work in the laboratory of Dr. Talya Dayton at EMBL Barcelona as part of the grant **PID2023-152948NA-I00** funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the ESF+.

You have
- PhD and/or MD or equivalent doctoral degree
- demonstration of expertise in the form of published paper(s) or preprints
- strong practical skills in primary cell culture
- knowledge of advanced gene editing techniques and CRISPR/Cas9-based screens
- ability to prioritize, see the big picture, and nevertheless focus on details
- ability to work independently, quickly set up effective networks and working relationships
- excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
You might also have
- experience with advanced bioinformatic tools
- an interest in chromatin biology
- experience in 3D organoid models
- skills in advanced microscopy techniques is an asset
