**ABOUT THE LEAD QA ENGINEER IN TEST ROLE AND OUR TEAM**:
The collaborative and technical Lead Engineer in Test (you) will set the strategic direction for a team of QA engineers that will drive connections between our couples and vendors in over 15 countries. You will work closely with software engineering, product management and other key business partners globally, and you will report to the QA Manager. You will bring creative problem solving skills and user-centric thinking to contribute to the automation and manual testing of new products from mínimally viable experiments to iterating and scaling existing products. You will establish processes and help your team commit to Agile best practices during the entire development lifecycle.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure that features are high-quality by creating test strategies, writing and executing test plans, and communicating with the team about issues, risk, and product quality.
- Leverage skills and experience to develop automated tests to ensure product quality.
- Manually test new features and bug fixes before incorporating them into automated test suites.
- Interface with teams in coordinating cross browser and mobile regression testing when needed.
- Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the QA process and Agile process.
- Partner with Engineering Leads and Product Managers to prioritize releases and determine quality metrics.
- Promote best practices surrounding TDD, continuous integration, code standards, etc.

**SUCCESSFUL LEAD QA ENGINEERS IN TEST HAVE**:

- Expert knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
- Hands on experience writing automated tests for user interfaces. Experience writing automated tests for backend services.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience with modern UI test frameworks like Cypress or TestCafe.
- Experience leading the technical strategy for teams and projects in an Agile environment.
- Experience writing SQL and analyzing queries
- Experience developing and contributing to APIs is a plus.
