We are looking for an enthusiastic, data-driven, and team-player Director of Data & Analytics to join their growing team. In this role, you will drive the analytics vision for Sandsoft and oversee all data, analytics and reporting needs of the company. The Director works together with functional Leads and teams as an analytics partner, providing them with data and insights for games in different stages of the lifecycle. We are looking for a skilled leader to build and grow a team of analysts and data professionals, and ensure their continued growth through mentoring and developing new talent. The role reports to the VP of Operations and is a part of the Operations group including Data, PMO and IT/Platforms.
**Responsibilities**:
- Own Data and Analytics at Sandsoft from defining data strategy to providing actionable insights to products and functions, from data collection to visualization.
- Analytics product owner, leading the development and maintenance of KPI dashboards/reports, and deviation monitoring.
- Hire, grow, and manage data engineering and data science teams to build data systems that support game development, publishing, marketing, and business.
- Lead the governance of game teams’ data assets by defining telemetry events, architecting data models, and defining data quality governance.
- Partner with product and business leaders to enable data and research-backed decision-making.
- Closely monitor business performance to identify risks, new opportunities, and industry trends. Acting as a first alert to risks and opportunities.
- Plan, prioritize, and communicate your team’s direction and deliverables.
**Requirements**:
- Consistent record as a leader with the ability to grow analytical capabilities and demonstrate strong results.
- 5+ years of related work experience in Mobile Gaming Analytics, Business Intelligence and/or Data Warehousing.
- BA/MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Statistics, Economics or other quantitative fields.
- Experience leading and coaching teams.
- Excellent delivery management skills to build and deliver plans with clearly defined timelines, ownership, and risks.
- Ability to deliver analytical compelling presentations to large groups and senior management.
- Familiarity with statistical modelling and software and big data environments.
- High passion for games, with an understanding of different genres.
- Growth mindset: the ability to truly learn from mistakes and keep experimenting despite the failures.
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
- Self-starting attitude.
- Strong ethics and reliability.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
**Salary**: 70,000.00€ - 90,000.00€ per year
