**Your Role**
Your objective is to get an optimal formula balance between nutritional and ingredients specifications, achieving the best possible quality with food safety and labelling compliance.
Formulas are regularly optimized with availabilities of the ingredients, new trends and needs, taking into account their nutritional profile, which must be periodically reviewed.
The formulator is also an active participant in the ingredient development process.
**What you will do**
Specific Duties and Responsibilities of a plant formulator:
- Periodical formula optimization with new ingredient prices and availabilities.
- Ingredient nutritional profile maintenance (matrix review), with the corresponding reformulation to adapt the formulas to it.
- Stretch opportunities identification & implementation.
- Formula’s review and changes.
- Develop new formulas.
- Perform formulation Budget.
- Assist/Advice New Product Development team on formulation tasks/studies/projects.
- Collaborate with Purchasing Team about needs.
- Finished product nutritional deviations follow-up & investigation.
- New Ingredient Development tasks: Ingredient evaluation and Ingredient Specifications creation and maintenance.

- University degree in sciences.
- From 1 to 4 years’ experience in food or petfood sector.
- Fluent English is a must. French will be much appreciated. Italian will be also considered.
- Knowledge about ingredients and nutrition.

- Good reaction time in case of emergencies.
