**FUNCTIONS**: - Responsible for providing all necessary inputs to the Transaction Team, including and not limited to yield, installed capacity, CAPEX, OPEX, etc. - Undertake LCOE Optimisation Analysis for new Projects. - Challenge and coordinate the Solar Technical Office, Procurement, and Grid Export teams involved in the energy yield assessments and solar PV plant design, including interconnection facilities, to achieve the most optimized design in line with the LCOE analysis performed. This also includes the management of external technical consultancy. - Coordinate with the Grid Export technician, who is the main technical interface with grid operators (TSO / DNO), to ensure the entire adequacy of the design to the grid connection requirements. - Work with the Procurement Manager on issuing RFPs, reviewing EPC bids, and determining contracting strategy. - Support EPC negotiations for technical matters, warranties, Performance Guarantees, and Liquidated Damages. - Lead the ongoing monitoring and maintenance strategy for projects, provide cost estimates, and resource requirements. - Undertake or provide guidance on site visits to both new greenfield sites and sites under development and/or construction. - Keep abreast of development in the PV solar field. - Maintain an organized and clearly documented set of project specific technical deliverables. - Support to solar PV design optimization initiatives for cost reduction and performance improvement. - The position will also include exposure to different photovoltaic technologies such as floating, rooftop, carports, etc. and other renewable technologies in hybrid plants such storage, wind, etc QUALIFICATIONS:. Bachelor of Science in Engineering obtained from an accredited program or state registration as a Professional Engineer. A Master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B. S. Engineering degree.. MBA, Executive Education or PhD in Engineering would be valued.. More than 5 years on Utility Solar Power Plants in similar position. Other experience in other energy markets such as Oil & Gas, Wind, Storage, etc. will be valued. Construction experience will be valued significantly. Professionals with less experience may be considered for a lowered rank.. A working understanding of energy project finance is needed.. Demonstrated ability to control stressful situations, negotiate positions, provide instruction, training, and direction to others. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams ranging from executive management and key stakeholders to construction contractors and construction personnel. Proficient in engineering design software, including but not limited to: PVsyst, AutoCAD, ArcGIS Pro, PSSE, etc. is desired.. Understanding of Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Project and Excel.. Available to travel up to 15% of the working time
