**Job Summary**
Devo’s exciting and exponential growth has presented us with a need to grow our IT-Support team.
**Responsibilities**:
The System Administrator will give support and technical assistance to the Devo employees who are using our assets (Hardware, software, network) within our heterogeneous environment (SaaS, local offices, remote support, cloud Apps, and 3x different OS).
Additionally the System Administrator will:
- Be a macOS or Linux expert
- Be able to write script (at least one of the following language Bash, Shell, Perl, Python, etc..)
- Follow up with customers worldwide to ensure full resolution of issues, suggest alternatives and solutions when possible.
- Resolve problems with networks and other computer related issues (hardware, software, wifi, LAN, vpn)
- Manage third party services and corresponding licensing
- Keep an up-to-date inventory of all desktops using available tools, and coordination as required
- Identify gaps in desktop configuration best practices and recommend mitigating solutions
- Inform leadership when any issues arise that require immediate attention
- Participate or lead meetings (colleagues or service providers), setup working groups, and manage projects
- Assist the business in implementing appropriate internal controls and best practices
- Prepare and ship equipment to new hires, or receive and process equipment from departed employees
- Provide endpoint support for Apple macOS, iOS, iPadOS devices, Linux desktop, and Microsoft Windows clients
- Test and deploy antivirus, monitoring tools, mdm and other security tools
- Help establish a quality and efficient ServiceDesk
- Build a knowledge database and bring in Self-help and how-to documentations to our internal Wiki.
- Provide technical support to the Corporate IT Director and IT Project manager.
As this is a global organization, this role may occasionally be asked to attend conference call meetings outside of normal respective office hours (rarely). Eventually, some travels could be required (training, meetings and large IT deployment).
**Requirements**:
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical/IT field (for example: computer science or similar field) or a non-technical degree with combination of several years in the IT field including MacOS or Linux System Administration hands on.
- At least 4 years of experience in System Administration, desktop management, Service Desk, Customer support
- Advanced In-depth knowledge required for Operating Systems like MacOS and Linux Ubuntu.
- Able to support and automate Linux or Mac administration (re-imaging, OS customisation, performance tuning)
- Scripting skills are required (one or more of these languages: bash/zsh Python, Shell, Bash, Perl, Ruby, MacOS command line tool, etc..)
- Linux kernel profiling and tuning, kernel and package compilation (macOS and Ubuntu) will be a real plus.
- Familiarity with MDM and endpoint management concepts, account profiling
- Experience with server-client architecture
- Knowledge for re-imaging quickly multiple systems on a large scale, improving the onboarding of newer employees
- Advanced knowledge with Networked systems on a LAN/WAN, VPN, Firewall, Proxy
- English fluent is mandatory
- Spanish language is mandatory

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to foster a collaborative working relationship with multiple areas and complex business lines
- Strong motivation to learn new concepts and technologies (CyberSecurity, Cloud, Automation, Identity management)
- Bright intellect with a depth and breadth of personal and professional experiences
- Ability to work holidays and off hours if needed (should rarely happen)
- Ability to work in the Madrid office in Spain
- Proactivity mindset, with a pronounced leadership drive.
**Desired**:
- Professional Certification/Training on Apple macOS, any Linux distribution, Microsoft Windows is a real plus
