Lead Manufacturing Engineer

- Co-ordinate all activities associated within manufacturing while ensuring compliance with quality BD Pharmaceutical Systems’s standards and requirements

**About the role**:**As **Lead Manufacturing Engineer you will work closely with the plant director in co-ordinate all activities associated within manufacturing while ensuring compliance with quality BD Pharmaceutical Systems’s standards and requirements, ensure that budgeted objectives are achieved and support, maintain and uphold the core values of both our site and BD

**Main responsibilities will include**:**
Production**:

- Optimise resources, labour and equipment to meet quality and delivery targets within our overall production plan
- Collaborate with the Logistics and Support teams to resolve production delays, technical incidents, and batch manufacturing issues
**Quality**:

- Collaborate closely with the Quality department on all matters including team training, specific challenges, customer complaint analysis, etc.
- Inspire and embed Good Manufacturing Practices - notably product registration data, approved/validated procedures and Quality requirements - within your team.
- Ensure that controls, and the traceability of products, are effective and utilized
- Lead the response to investigations, inspections, customer audits, and quality improvement by developing and implementing corrective actions
- Actively participate in internal and external audits
- Always be aware and mindful of product specifications and relevant legislation
**Budget & finance**:

- Track performance, keep team performance within budget and adjust activities and plans as the forecast evolves.
- Understand and explain variances and initiate corrective actions.
- Devise and proposes actions and programs to reduce costs
**Team management**:

- Manage and coordinate all team activities and foster team spirit and collaboration across the site
- Develop and improve the skills and potential of your team and ensure their compliance with company rules
- Organizes training sessions according to the needs of the teams and the objectives of the workshop,
- Communicate closely within and outside the workshop - including the Human Resources partner
- Coordinate improvement action plans with the CI department and deploy initiatives with the team.
**Project Phase**:
During the Project phase, the flexibility and assumption of tasks of other specific roles related to the function and the area of knowledge/work will be common, always taking into account the personal skills, knowledge and technical skills for their development. As the Project progresses over time, the positions will be consolidated, and the functions of each position will be assumed fully and exclusively.
