Project Manager Pre

Research at CRM covers a wide spectrum of fields, from the most fundamental areas (algebra/number theory/geometry/topology, analysis and PDEs, combinatorics and dynamical systems) to applied mathematics (in the fields of biology, environment ). The center is distinguished as a Maria de Maeztu Unit of Excellence by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (2020 Call) and holds the HRS4R award (Human Resources Strategy for Research; awarded by the European Commission) since 2016. The Unit hosts approximately 80 senior researchers and affiliated researchers from UPC's, UB's and UAB's Mathematics departments.

Regarding training and exchange of knowledge, the CRM organizes 3-4 intensive research programs every year, welcoming 400 visiting researchers per year on average. Its aim is to connect the Catalan mathematics community with world-class practitioners (about 70% of the participants are international).

The CRM in Barcelona is seeking a:
Job Title**:Pre-award project manager**

**TASKS & RESPONSABILITIES**:
The Pre-award Project Manager will be integrated into the projects department and aims to contribute to the institutional transformation and growth of the Centre. Tasks will include:

- Identify relevant competitive calls for CRM and promote project proposals
- Contribute to the attraction of external funds for strategic projects, both national and international calls (H2020, Horizon Europe) and alliances aligned with the objectives and mission of the CRM as a centre.
- Promote the participation of the research groups in European projects.
- Supporting the PIs in the non-scientific drafting of projects and monitoring them once they have been awarded: reviewing the drafting of proposals, providing comments, helping to prepare the budget, etc.
- Ensuring compliance with the policies and regulations for funding the calls for proposals.
- Promote the partnership policy with other relevant stakeholders in order for the CRM to develop its mission. Define the content of the agreements and develop joint actions (such as workshops, training events, etc.).

Actively participate in internal training/information sessions of the Projects Department.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- At least 5 years of proven experience in pre-award project management
- Full command of professional Catalan, Spanish and English.
- Knowledge of the Spanish and European science and technology systems.
- Knowledge of public regional, national and international funding bodies instruments for institutional development of a research centre.

**CONTRACT DETAILS**:
