Eurofins Technologies is a new International Business Line within the Eurofins Group focused on the development, manufacturing and marketing of bioanalytical technologies and diagnostic test kits in particular. The business is primarily focused on solutions in Food Safety and Environmental Safety but has recently expanded into Animal Health and Clinical Diagnostics. Eurofins Technologies serves both external customers (industrial, governmental, and service laboratories) as well as customers within the Eurofins Group.
**Job Description**:
The overall objective for the Sales Director is to significantly grow the Eurofins Technologies business in Europe. The primary responsibility will be to establish, plan, and implement sales strategies for the Eurofins Technologies, Animal Health products - in the fields of Livestock and PETs markets.
Sales Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for revenue growth for Eurofins Technologies AH in Europe
- Hire, develop, and retain an effective regional sales team (inside and outside sales) covering all three aspects of the sales process: customer acquisition, growth and customer attrition management
- Hire, develop and retain an effective sales support team
- Work with sales reps to establish action plans for prospecting and lead generation, acquiring new accounts, developing sales tactics, penetrating new lines of business and developing specific account strategies
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for verticals and assigned geographies
- Optimize sales staff results by establishing and communicating expectations, coaching, mentoring, planning, monitoring and appraising job results and providing feedback
- Work with Operations Leader, other business unit managers, marketing team, and customer support representatives to develop and implement sales strategies
- Provide Sales leadership and timely forecasts for Eurofins Technologies Animal Health Sales and Operations Planning
- Provide leadership support and direction for sales pipeline management including CRM and other tools
- Provide constructive feedback for operational and infrastructure improvements that will increase customer satisfaction
- Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement
**Qualifications**:
- Academic background in (Molecular) Biology, Chemistry or other relevant fields. MBA is considered a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in the diagnostic test kit or AH industry in sales management with successful proven results i.e. profitable sales performance.
- At least 10 years sales management and leadership experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
- Strong business acumen, including the ability to build solid regional or national business plans based on analysis of key performance metrics and an understanding of market place issues/opportunities, and the ability to identify areas of opportunity for the company's products and services.
- Excellent level of English with knowledge of other European languages (Portuguese would be a plus).
- Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. oral and written communication skills, presentation skills) as this role will interface with leaders of the Eurofins laboratories and external customers.
- Strong customer-focused consultative selling skills.
- Strong problem-solver with 'can-do' mentality.
- Technical knowledge IT: MS Office products.
