Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning was established on October 1st, 2015 as a joint venture between Hitachi Appliances, Inc. (now Hitachi Global Life Solutions, Inc.) and Johnson Controls, Inc. Hitachi Appliances carved out and contributed its air conditioning business to the Joint Venture. Johnson Controls acquired a 60% stake of the carved-out business and Hitachi Global Life Solutions, Inc. continues as a 40% shareholder of this venture.

With this joint venture, two rich, 100-year-old cultures and histories have come together to create one exciting new company, serving our combined customers with the most diverse product portfolio in the air conditioning industry.

For our Vacarisses Plant, in Barcelona, we are looking for a:
**Electrical Engineer**:
**What you will do**

The Electrical Engineer designs and develops power and control electrical circuits with motors (Fans, Compressors, Pumps, etc), working their wiring diagrams and lead product required electrical certification

**How you will do it**
- Analyses electrical parts specifications
- Proposes new or alternative electrical parts or assemblies for Cost Reduction, due to End of Live/Lack of parts procurement of current parts or improvement in the electric circuit.
- Supports new developments in wiring schemes, parts and devices to meet the product needs
- Works on electrical designs (schematics), component sizing and theoretical analysis to study the worst cases scenarios and thus take into account all the potential stress experienced by the components (stress tests)
- Creates schematics on CAD or other proper software
- Components and units testing follow up for the new/alternative electrical parts approval
- Leads new products required certification, such as CE, UL and ETL

**What we are looking for**

Engineering Electrical or Electronic covering power circuits

Min 5 years similar experience

Knowledge of the electrical regulations.

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills

Strong planning and organizational skills

Ability to work independently

High level of English
