Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Projects (Spain)LocationSpain (Project-based)Hybrid working available – a mix of site, office, and remote workRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale data centre projects in Spain. The role will focus on the design coordination, technical oversight, and construction support of electrical systems, working closely with project managers, contractors, consultants, and end clients.This position is suited to an engineer with strong data centre or complex construction experience and a solid technical grounding in LV and MV electrical infrastructure.Key Responsibilities: Electrical Engineering & Technical DeliveryLead and review the design and installation of LV and MV electrical systems for data centre facilitiesSupport the delivery of power distribution systems including transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, and earthing systemsEnsure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards (IEC, IEEE, BS, etc.)Review technical submissions, method statements, test plans, and commissioning proceduresProvide technical guidance and problem‑solving support during construction and commissioning phasesProject & Stakeholder CoordinationWork closely with project management, CSA, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure coordinated deliveryLiaise with clients, consultants, utility providers, and subcontractorsParticipate in design reviews, technical workshops, and site progress meetingsSupport programme delivery by identifying risks, constraints, and mitigation measuresQuality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure electrical works are delivered in line with quality, health & safety, and environmental requirementsSupport inspections, FAT/SAT activities, and final handover documentationContribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiativesRequired Experience & Qualifications: EssentialDegree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentProven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer on data centre, mission‑critical, or large‑scale construction projectsStrong technical knowledge of LV and MV electrical systemsExperience supporting projects through design, construction, and commissioning phasesAbility to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and client‑facing environmentsDirect experience on hyperscale or colocation data centresKnowledge of redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N) and critical power systemsFamiliarity with Spanish and EU electrical regulationsChartered Engineer or working toward chartership (CEng or equivalent)Working ArrangementHybrid working model available, combining site presence with remote and office‑based workFlexibility expected to support key project milestones and site activitiesWhat’s on OfferOpportunity to work on high‑profile, technically complex data centre projectsLong‑term project pipeline in Spain and across EuropeCompetitive salary and benefits packageCareer progression within a growing data centre and mission‑critical delivery team#J-18808-Ljbffr
