**Santander Global Tech & Operations **is looking for a **Infrastructure Architect, **based in our Boadilla del Monte office.**

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

As an Infrastructure Architect your mission will be consult and designing information systems to support the enterprise infrastructure of an organization, ensuring that all systems are working at optimal levels and supporting the development of new technologies and system requirements.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

- Model the hardware and base software elements across an enterprise and the relationship between them, considering resilience, capacity, performance, manageability and some others capabilities.

EXPERIENCE
- +4 years’ experience as an Infrastructure Architect or similar
- Be used to the Agile ways of working
- Fluent in English and Spanish written and spoken

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, informatics, or related field
- Post-graduate will be a plus

KNOWLEDGE
- Evaluate technology, market trends and industry plus identify prospective impact on business. Main focus on Compute, Storage and Network areas, mainly on-prem environments, private cloud included.
- Analyze System Requirements
- Recommend Alternative Technologies and Improvements
- Lead Design and Review of New Systems
- Plan for Integration
- Evaluate Projects
- Methods and tools to develop a blueprint for the future state of IT; ability to develop the roadmap of it, while aligning the architecture and processes with business strategies and objectives.
- Tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyse and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
- Knowledge of and the ability to design and improve organizational IT structures in order to better support business operations, for example, by providing data in a more expedient manner.
- Knowledge of and experience with developing and supporting software for a distributed environment.
- Knowledge of and the ability to design, implement and integrate IT hardware for its use in business environments.
- Strong Technical & Software Architecture background, including backend technologies in some of the following:

- Virtual environments, operating systems
- Virtual appliances and hardware solutions (compute, storage and network)
- Storage and backup solutions
- Wireline, wireless and hybrid network infrastructure
- Resiliency, DR, capacity planning and performance.
- Monitoring and observability tools and environments
