The SDE role is responsible for assisting the New Business Development Manager (NBDM) and other internal stakeholders in growing revenues in new customers. The role is commercial office and desk based.
**Key Responsibilities & Duties**:
**New Business Development**
- Follow up on leads and turning these into qualified leads by cold calling, introducing A-SAFE and understanding the opportunity
- Take inbound calls and make outbound phone calls to potential new customers to set up appointments for the NBDMs.
- Pre-qualify requirements and set expectations with customers for the NBDM visit.
- Send quotes and drawings to customers and proactively follow up in a timely manner.
- Work closely with customers to ensure all project details are complete and accurate before handover for processing, ensuring the customers’ ordering experience is efficient and we are easy to do business with
- Post-installation follow-up: Carry out customer Net Promoter Score (NPS) surveys and act on feedback accordingly and organise post-installation follow-up meetings for the NBDM.
- Ensure efficient and timely handover of new customers to the Customer Success Manager and Regional Account Manager.
- Occasionally attend exhibitions to gather new leads and develop new opportunities.
**New Account Management**
- Retain and nurture new customer relationships by providing world-class support throughout the entire sales process.
**CRM System Management**
- Ensure activities are recorded in CRM to track KPI activities and customer interactions.
- Ensure all opportunities are accurately recorded in CRM for tracking and reporting, and pipeline and forecast reports are updated timely and accurately
- Ensure the customer data base is updated timely and accurately
**Collaboration & Teamwork**
- Work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders to ensure a world-class customer experience across departments, and actively participate in internal and external meetings when attendance is required to contribute to team success and continuous improvement. Provide cover when appropriate.
- Participate with internal sales team members to ensure we give a timely response to any customer contact through the sales inbox
**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**
**Essential**:
- A proven track record of experience in a internal sales development role
- A confident and professional telephone manner with proven experience of building new customer and business relationships and improving customer satisfaction
- A self-starter with strong time management and organisational skills
- A natural problem solver who is process orientated and disciplined
- Strong prioritisation and time management skills
- Working knowledge of CRM systems and KPI reporting
- IT literate
- Good commercial awareness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and working effectively in team environments
**Desirable**:
- Previous experience in or knowledge of the industry
**Qualifications**:
Suitable experience in a internal sales development role.
