- As Real World Evidence Specialist you will lead RWD/RWE early strategy in the Medical Department ensuring capabilities and tools to develop cross-functional integrated evidence plans, integrating the implementation science approach and aligned with Novartis strategy.
- The RWE Lead will work within Medical Excellence & Governance team (Medical Dpt.) to aid with the RWE strategic initiatives and specific projects execution through customer engagement, communication, and advanced analytics.
- The RWE Lead will actively involve in specific in-house real world data studies across the entire Novartis portfolio working with external platforms housing real world data (including electronic health records, national health claims, as well as uniquely sourced health data).
- The role will also aid in the execution and implementation of RWE generating studies, in particular, non interventional studies (NIS) to assist with the Novartis evidence generation plan with partners and with vendors, contribute to driving innovation in RWE analytics by implementing new analytic methods, study design and technologies to answer research and business questions, conducting RWE studies using internal and external real world data to generate unique disease insights and epidemiological information to improve patient care and business needs, and communicate RWE matters with key internal stakeholders (ex. medical affairs, market access, marketing, etc.) and scientific community.**This role can be based in Madrid or Barcelona**

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead the RWE strategy in the Medical Department

assuring exchange and leverage expertise across
- the franchises- Assure alignment and collaboration with RWE

functions in Patient Access and RWE RE/Global
- Teams- Work together other non-medical functions

(including but not restricted to access and Innovative
- Solutions Teams) to establish needs and resources
- for priority drug- Assure medical input and participation in early

product forums at local and global level- Contribute to the integrated Plan delivery for Key

Brands with focus in RWE activities- Develop cross functional strategy to identify and

achieve long term external partnerships with data
- owners- Contact point and reference in the CPO for local,

regional and global teams- Background knowledge of industry trends and best

practices specifically related to
- epidemiology/outcomes research- Explore and foster the use of new technologies,

including digital, to contribute to RWD strategy
- development.- Prepare presentation materials (in PowerPoint) and

assist investigator meetings and other meetings, and
- conduct literature reviews and online research to
- assist with RWE studies- Collaborate with external vendors (ex. CROs) on

RWE projects and manage communication,
- contracting and project follow up and ensure
- expected deliverables and meet timelines /
- challenges on content for low or medium complexity

**Minimum requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree, Advanced Health Sciences degree

(MD, PhD, PharmD, MPH etc) strongly preferred
- More than 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical

industry, CRO/consulting firms or academic institute
with broad and deep knowledge of RWE activities
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English

(and Spanish)
- Experience and knowledge of methodology and

research
procedures, preferable related to RWE studies
- Strategic view and cross functional leading skills
- Experience in data management and data analyses
- Experience and knowledge in HEOR
