The Finance Intern will be an integral part of the Services ITR team in Gas Power Europe supporting the data management and reporting of the business Financial KPIs through standard work and lean initiatives to improve our performance.

Roles and Responsibilities

The finance function plays an important role in supporting the business, and the finance interns will have the opportunity to work within one of our Financial Planning & Analysis and Operations.

You will have the opportunity to gain hands on finance experience, with responsibility in a range of areas including, but not limited, to some of the following tasks:

- Support for the preparation of short, mid and long-term profit planning for Spain, Portugal, France and Belgium.
- Perform certain closing activities (journal entries, profit analysis per contract type and fulfilment vs. plan)
- Accounts reconciliations and cost categorization (Working closely with project controllers (CFM), fulfilment managers (CSL) and Senior Risk Modelling Analysis Manager.
- Support audit requests.
- Long terms service contracts calculation for both modelling team (during margin review process) and CSLs/CFMs on requests.
- Preparation of main KPIs (Sales, Margin, Backlog, Billing ) on requests received from sales and operational team.
- Ad hoc requests/projects.

The individual will gain a valuable insight into the operation of a successful business, having responsibility in a range of areas. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will provide an excellent start into a career in finance.

**Required Qualifications**- Strong analytical, problem solving, and inter-personal skills are essential.- Flexibility and autonomy to prioritize assignments and meet strict deadlines is crucial.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, with good written and oral presentation skills.
- Possession of the necessary work/residency permits for working in the European Union.

**Desired Characteristics**- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Teams, is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working with Tableau, Oracle and SAP ERPs is desirable.
- Background in accountancy is preferred.
- Fluency in other European languages.
