**Job Description**:
We are looking for an exceptional **Quality Manager Food **who will be responsible for developing and maintaining sustainable Quality Assurance of zooplus' private labels. Being a part of a very strategic part of the business - the **Own Brands Food** team, you will be one of the main drivers of continuous expansions of your products, thus, setting zooplus apart from its competitors.
Are you ready for this challenge?
As a **Quality Manager Food**, you will take care of:
- Ensuring successful Quality Assurance of private label products by:
- Creating and maintaining the documental system within the Own Brands Food Department (templates, process workflows, procedures)
- Periodically reporting about the status of our brands in terms of Quality, using all insights provided
- Benchmarking private label products internally and vs branded products
- Approving the product specification from our manufacturers/suppliers, in regards to Quality aspects
- Defining product sensory and analytical framework data based on guidelines, in cooperation with Product Experts
- Supporting Own Brands Food assessments and decisions with data-driven documents by:
- Executing internal & external sampling plans: testing and ensuring a consistent product quality
- Tracking audit programs
- Providing data collection & analysis of palatability tests
- Driving Customer Care & continuous improvement by:
- Answering requests of information and complaints from customers
- Acting as the Voice of Customer in front of suppliers: requesting answers / action plans when necessary
**Qualifications**:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in food / feed processing or pet retail
- Previous experience in Quality Assurance, ideally working in a laboratory environment
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), experience with Tableau is a plus
- Ideally, the background in life / food sciences or food safety
- Very good level of Business English, knowledge of Spanish or further European languages is a plus
