With over 1,000 monitoring networks deployed worldwide and connecting over 65,000 sensors to the Internet of Things, our Loadsensing solution is the leader in the IoT remote monitoring space. We’re looking for an experienced, energetic Senior/Group Product Manager or Head of Product Management to lead the Product and Project functions within Worldsensing

**T**he Mission**: Product Management is a core function at Worldsensing and key to its strategic growth. The Head of Product Management will lead a team of Product Managers, Product Owners and also a small team of Project Managers who work on innovation and externally funded projects. Central to the role is the maintenance of the Product Life Cycle and development of the portfolio to enable rapid growth of the business to scale to the next level.

**Outcomes**: The Head of Product Management will establish themselves as a leader in the organisation and will quickly have an effect on the stability, maturity and purpose of the Product Management Department. Specific outcomes will include:

- Clear objectives and quarterly reviews with all direct reports
- Clear and unambiguous lines of ownership and responsibility for Product Vision and Roadmap.
- A process for determining the required development resources from product growth ambition.
- Evidence of thought leadership and demonstration of domain expertise.
- A pipeline of projects for Project Management.

**Activities/Responsibilities**:
The primary objective of this role is to lead the Product/Project Management department:

- To coach the team ensure that the Product Managers follow the PLM process and are themselves coaching and managing the Product Owners appropriately. Support the team in the resolution of issues and problems, giving advice and help where appropriate.
- To maintain, grow and organise the team as the business demand dictates, recruiting new talent, interviewing, hiring, onboarding and developing the team to become the best in the industry.
- Work with the CTO and CPMO to set the Product Vision and Strategy and own the Portfolio Roadmap and its ongoing development.
- To spearhead investigation and analysis of new product ideas and potential new markets by processing information, identifying opportunities, and presenting these to the CPMO for inclusion in the PLM process.
- Work with the CTO to ensure that there is a steady stream of externally funded projects for the Project Managers to manage, and to coordinate with Engineering to downstream innovation projects into new product developments and enhancements.
- Work with the Heads of Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Success and Commercial, to produce an ongoing plan of execution for the development of the product and service portfolio, and its promotion and sale to the market.
- Lead and organise the product department ensuring that its activities and governance are clear and that its interaction with the wider organisation is understood by all.
- Set the team objectives based on discovery and delivery, and empower the team to operate with autonomy; encourage alignment and accountability and nurture their ambition and passion for the technology and products.
- Identify the team’s development needs and seek a balance of learning and development for them, by working on the job, as a team and formally through external sources.
- Track the performance of the team against their objectives, ensure they meet or exceed expectations and where they don’t, put corrective measures in place.
- Ensure that the Product Management department has the best tools and processes in place and that there is a plan for continuous improvement.
- To carry out other duties from time to time as determined by the CPMO or CEO.

**Requirements**:

- 10+ years of experience in the field of software, technology, marketing or preferably product management
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in an international environment.
- Great people skills paired with a high level of assertiveness.
- Highly analytical and adept at synthesizing technologies, requirements and capabilities into strategic product plans and able to work effectively in a matrix environment.
- A confident and self-assured communicator, excellent interpersonal skills and team working/facilitation. Very good command of the English language; Spanish would be an advantage.
- Experience in motivational leadership of teams, either directly managed or matrixed
