Description

Orange Bank Spain’s Backend Technical Lead is part of the IT Development Team and works on our microservices platform while leading a squad with mixed profiles (Backend, Frontend, iOS, Android).

Functions
- Taking the right technical decisions.
- Collaborate with other departments (Security, Devops ) to achieve optimal solutions.
- Keep the bank’s technology up to date.
- Plan the squad work to find the balance between new functionality and technical improvements (we hate technical debt).
- Keep the team focused on goals achievement, removing impediments, and making the squad a great place to develop.
- Participate on a technical roadmap to decide where are we moving as a digital bank.
- Deliver high quality code and be an example for the squad.

Profile
- Passion for microservices and events.
- Knowledge about ATDD.
- Ability to rest and event contracts with OpenAPI.
- Experience working with Cloud.
- CI/CD mindset.
- Zero (0) ties with old banking technologies.
- At least 7 years of working experience in a similar position and in one or multiple IT areas.
- Spring and Java11 (or at least Java8) knowledge.
- Experience in async microservices platforms, preferably with Kafka. Asynchronous mentality is a must.
- Application and cloud infrastructure security knowledge.
- Docker and Kubernetes knowledge.
- High level knowledge in other technical areas: Angular, iOS, Android

Other competencies
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision in a distributed team environment and set own work direction to achieve squad goals.
- Good understanding of how to conduct technical solution assessments.
- Strong consulting techniques and negotiation skills.
- Experience with financial services sector, business analysis and banking functional knowledge.
- Appreciation of the challenges and complexity around the delivery of large, strategic, enterprise level solutions, and the importance of adhering to group standards, policies, and practices.
- Taste for working with people and for people.
- Ability to listen, good communication skills and able to manage conflict.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and innovative projects.
- Ability to operate at own initiative with a pro-active attitude, within the directions and confines of management and Bank policy.
- Experience working in an agile environment adapted to a regulated organization.
