**About the role**

In the Audio Lab team, we are looking for an
**Engineering Research Manager** whose mission will be to be responsible for leading a team of 10 researchers in different audio technologies. Every engineering manager at Voicemod needs to fulfill these two objectives:

- Take care of the team members so they can have everything they need to do their best work,
- Ensure the team is capable of delivering the expected value to the company.

**What you'll do**:

- Follow the career development of each team member, having 1on1 meetings and completing full progress reviews every six months.
- Build a positive team culture where you're supporting colleagues and empowering them to grow as technical leaders and people.
- In collaboration with the Product Manager, drive the definition of Quarterly Objectives for the product and team, looking for consensus within the team and with the Leadership Team. Propose, define, track and report key results and KPIs.
- Follow the progress of each project making sure you identify possible blockers and communicate risks to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Define processes to improve the team’s performance.
- Communicate across cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, Analytics, QA, Marketing, and Design.

**What you'll need**:

- Proficient English Level (C1+)
- 7y+ of professional experience in software development and/or research projects, at least 2 of them working as a team leader or management role.
- At least 2 of the following:

- Capacity to understand audio technology or basic digital signal processing.
- Experiences working with AI and Machine learning.
- Experience being a researcher or managing a research team.
- Previous experience managing delivery, projects, risks, and dependencies using Agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to adjust to audiences with or without technical background and different seniority levels.
- (Bonus) Experience working with managing partially or fully remote teams.
- (Bonus) Passion for audio, music, recording, or sound in any shape or (wave)form.
