This role will serve as the go-to authority for scientific and expert-driven input across our health and fitness platforms, managing our network of internal and external specialists in fitness, health psychology, and wellness. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the expert credibility and scientific voice of our brand, ensuring our users receive trusted, transformative experiences grounded in real-world evidence and insight. This is a rare opportunity to lead at the intersection of content, science, and user experience—reporting directly to the Senior Director of Content and collaborating across Product, Brand and Marketing. As Science Lead, you will work cross-functionally to define best-in-class, research-informed approaches to training, recovery and behavior change, ensuring our global wellness offerings are engaging, safe, and credible. **Key Responsibilities**: - Lead and scale our global network of experts across sports science, nutrition, fitness, and behavioral health - Define and uphold the scientific and strategic foundation of all wellness content, ensuring it is evidence-based, inclusive and impactful - Partner with product and content teams to shape native app programmes that drive long-term user transformation - Represent the brand in expert, academic, and industry-facing spaces - from thought leadership to partnerships with universities, health orgs and influencers - Oversee expert onboarding, quality assurance, certification compliance and long-term development - Use behavioral science principles to inform content creation across training structure, motivation strategies and user experience design **Qualifications**: - 7-10+ years’ experience in sports science, health psychology or a related wellness discipline, with leadership in a digital or consumer-facing environment - Advanced degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Psychology, Behavioral Science, or related field (PhD or MSc preferred) - Proven success leading expert teams, managing certifications/compliance and creating scalable health programs - Strong understanding of digital health trends, user behavior, and motivation frameworks - Industry presence (e. speaking, publishing, or academic contributions) - Collaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally with content, product, and creative teams - Experience with content development in health apps or platforms an advantage - Background in evidence-based program design, especially for diverse or global user groups Recruiter call -> Meet a team member -> Skills assessment-> Meet the Leadership team **Why You’ll Love Being Part of Welltech**: - ** Grow Together**: Join a culture that champions both personal and professional growth.
