The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy, and education. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.LugarBarcelona, Campus MarWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORISGlobal is looking for a predoctoral researcher to work in the SUSTAIN-MOBILISE-D project, a 2-year private-public consortium aiming to measure and validate digital mobility outcomes in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and hip fracture.MAIN DUTIES AND TASKSPerform statistical analysis of clinical cohort data of people with neurological and respiratory diseases.Perform statistical analysis of high-resolution mobility data (e.g., body sensors data).Interpret and discuss the results with other SUSTAIN-MOBILISE-D members.Provide statistical support to the researchers of the team.Participate in protocol writing and statistical analysis plan elaboration.SECONDARY TASKSContribute to data cleaning and management.Contribute to scientific publications, reports, and grant applications.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEDegree in Biostatistics, Biomedicine, or similar.Training in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics.Experience in biomedical data analysis.Experience in neurologic or respiratory diseases.Experience in R and Python will be an asset.SKILLSTeam player, yet capable of working autonomously; rational thinker.The post holder will adhere to ISGlobal principles contained in the People management policy, including equity, diversity, and health safety. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for structural or transversal positions.In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview.
