At Hispasat, we are looking for a Platform Engineer (Mechanical Thermal Structure, Electrical or AOCS) for the biggest European SatCom project in collaboration with the European Space Agency and the European Commission.We are expanding our Platform team and looking for engineers with expertise in Mechanical/Thermal/Structure, Electrical, and AOCS to support the full engineering cycle of the satellite platform.Participate in design, manufacturing and testing activities for units, subsystems and the full satellite.
- Take part in key project phases including launch preparation, launch campaign, LEOP and in orbit testing.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, industrial partners and agencies throughout the programme.Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a similar field.
- Around ten years of experience in platform engineering, platform procurement, equipment manufacturing or satellite operations in GEO or LEO.
- Platform equipment design, manufacturing, integration and testing.
- System budgets, radiation, EMC and ESD.
- Assembly, integration and testing at subsystem and system level.
- In orbit testing of satellite platforms.
- Ability to use programming languages such as Python or Matlab.Fluency in English.
