You’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.We are seeking an experienced Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Cluster Manager to oversee the operational excellence of multiple data centers within our regional infrastructure. This role combines technical leadership, operational management, and strategic planning to ensure optimal performance of our data center operations.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage multiple data centers within a region, ensuring 24/7 operational reliabilityDevelop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cluster operationsManage a team of data center facility managers, chief engineers, and techniciansCoordinate with cross-functional teams on maintenance, upgrades, and expansion projectsMonitor and optimize power usage effectiveness (PUE) and other key performance metricsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across cluster operationsEnsure compliance with security protocols and industry standardsAbout the teamAmazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. You’ll find knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and other career-advancing resources to help you develop into a well-rounded professional.Basic Qualifications4+ years of management experienceExperience with large scale mechanical and power systemsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldKnowledge of electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC unitsExperience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing technical teamsPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHAExperience with large-scale technical operations or large-scale compute farmsExperience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six SigmaAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $292,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
