AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Senior Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. The Senior Manager is one of our most senior management roles in the data center environment. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a large organization, managing department heads who own data center facility infrastructure including the operational availability of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The pace, scale, and growth of Amazon’s data center platform will challenge you. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.Key Job ResponsibilitiesDrive safety culture and security initiatives across multiple data center facilitiesDevelop and implement operational strategies that align with AWS's global standards while addressing cluster requirementsOversee capacity planning, delivery, and growth strategies to meet customer demandDirect engineering operations across multiple data centersManage complex multi-stakeholder coordination requirements with internal teams, vendors, and local authoritiesChampion inclusion, diversity, and equity initiatives within the regional organizationImplement sustainability programs and ensure environmental compliance across all facilitiesOversee financial performance, budget planning, and cost optimization initiativesDrive continuous improvement in operational metrics, efficiency, and service deliveryHiring, managing, and developing the operations management teamBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldKnowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC unitsExperience hiring, developing, and managing high‑performing technical teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience with large‑scale technical operations or large‑scale compute farmsExperience managing large teams across multiple locations and languages, or experience as an acting operations managerExperience working in a data center or mission critical facility (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.)Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
