To be a part of this successful company and help us to achieve this you will have the desire to ingrain our strategic goals of being a people-led, innovative and customer-focused organisation which provides operational excellence whilst identifying new areas of growth as part of our day to day objectives.Role Overview:Security Officers are responsible for ensuring the completion of all tasks by supporting the Supervisor in and contributing to the safe working environment, preventing loss/damage to company property.Key Responsibilities:Ensure that all security policies are complied with and enforcedRegular patrolling of the site to prevent unauthorised access and prevent the appropriation of company propertyAdhere to all company policies and ensure you are working within health and safety guidelinesSearch staff in accordance with current procedures/policiesBe professional and courteous at all timesAny other reasonable activities in line with the needs of the businessEnsure staff/contractors/visitors are booked in correctlyEnsure all equipment is booked in/outBook supplier’s vehicles in and ensure all vehicles are sealed on arrival/departureSkills / Experience / Knowledge needed:Experience of working to health and safety requirementsBasic computer literacy skillsAble to work under pressure in a busy environmentWorks well as part of a team; supportive of othersCommunicates effectivelyRespond to issues quickly, positively in a fast paced and changing environmentExperience of working in the security industry - DesirableKnowledge of common law powers in relation to detaining potential offenders – DesirableWe know our employees work tirelessly to make JD Sports the success it is today and in turn, we offer them some amazing benefits:Free parkingIncremental Holiday AllowanceStaff Discount On JD Group and other brands within the organisationPension SchemePersonal development opportunities to learn and develop at work.Due to the high volumes of applications our opportunities attract, it takes time to review them all.
